Nottingham Trent University was founded in 1843 and has a rich history of enabling people, dismantling obstacles, and improving lives all around the world.
One of the biggest and most significant universities in the nation, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has over 40,000 students and staff spread across five campuses. As a university dedicated to bringing about significant change, we have won numerous distinguished honors for our inventiveness, energy, and research.

Being acknowledged as an inclusive university makes us very happy. We were the first university to sign up for the Government’s social mobility pledge, demonstrating our commitment to improving the prospects of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. NTU is ranked among the top five universities for widening participation, with 25% of NTU students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds (HESA 2021–22).

We have a number of university campuses around Nottingham and the surrounding areas, from our lively City Campus in the busy center of Nottingham to the picturesque Brackenhurst country estate.

Nottingham itself is typified by our City Campus. It’s a space that’s both expansive and intimate, fostering a feeling of community while allowing for the coexistence of our greatest and most cherished traditions with cutting-edge concepts, cutting-edge methods, and endless opportunities. The city we adore is embodied by the same blend of innovation and antiquity.

Everything’s at our City Campus. This location is home to six of our academic schools, an inventive public art gallery, open-working office space for nearby companies, and the amazing NLS Legal. Our Newton building, a prominent component of the city skyline, is conveniently located less than five minutes’ walk from Nottingham’s main shopping area, Market Square, and the Victoria Centre.

Whether you’re looking for a new place to live in NTU or UPP-managed residence halls, or you’d want more information on accredited shared housing or private accommodations, our welcoming Accommodation staff is ready to help.

We guarantee accommodation for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students joining us in 2024.

Joining NTU means becoming part of a forward-thinking community dedicated to driving meaningful change and shaping your future. Embrace the opportunity to thrive in an inspiring environment that blends tradition with innovation and prepares you for success in your chosen field.
