About our Course

Do you want to acquire the fundamental knowledge and abilities of leadership required to inspire, encourage, and lead a team? The goal of the level 3 foundation diploma in people and organizations is to give students a flexible, topic-specific education that will enable them to learn about the principles, practices, and organization structure as well as people management.

Those who successfully complete this certification will have the fundamental information and abilities needed to excel in the workplace or in future education.

The participants will:

  • Develop a body of knowledge about people, organisations and employment in a range of sectors.
  • Develop a range of knowledge, facts, theories, ideas, skills, materials, terminology, practices and techniques about, and associated with people and organisations and employment.
  • Develop self-confidence and skills required for the working environment and organisations and employment.
  • Improve communication skills and personal effectiveness that will provide a basis for growth in employment and or in further study.
The ideal candidates for this course are those who have completed high school and are at least 16 years old, and who want to continue on to a university degree or the undergraduate level 4/5 human resource management course offered by Online Business School.

This course is eligible for ELCAS funding.

Course Content

There are six written assignments and six modules in the level 3 course. Every module has forty hours of guided learning content, plus an additional thirty to fifty hours of optional content that includes readings, exercises, online resources, and self-testing activities.

  • Understand the factors involved in human resource planning in organisations.
  • Understand the recruitment and selection process.
  • Understand how organisations motivate employees.
  • Understand the importance of managing employee performance.

Personal and professional development

  • Understand what personal and professional development is.
  • Know how to identify strengths and needs in relation to own planned job role.
  • Understand how to plan and produce own professional development plan.
  • Understand opportunities for professional development.

Teamwork

  • Understand the benefits and challenges of working in a team to complete a task.
  • Understand the need for a team to work to an agreed code of conduct.
  • Know how to recognise the different strengths, skills and experiences different people bring to a team.

Assignments

Six written assignments are required for the level 3 foundation diploma in people and organizations. Each assignment is between two and three thousand words long. Students can access the ‘Tutor’ part of the learning portal to receive assistance with the courses and assignments.

University Progression

On completion of this course, students will have the opportunity to apply for admission onto a full BA degree programme from a range of UK universities.
