Students can proceed to the second year of an undergraduate degree program at a university by completing the Level 4 diploma. The first year of an undergraduate degree is equal to this course.

About our Course

Our 120-credit Level 4 Diploma in Entrepreneurship is designed to equip future business managers and CEOs with the skills necessary to thrive in medium to large-sized businesses, with a special emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Completing the Level 4 diploma allows students to advance to the second year of an undergraduate degree program at a university. This course is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree.

The Level 4 course consists of ten modules, each assessed through written assignments and a single multiple-choice test. Our team of knowledgeable academics has created a collection of in-depth, unique lessons specifically tailored to help you prepare for these exams. You can access this content at any time and from any location, providing all the information you need.

This module includes approximately 40 hours of guided instruction, plus an additional 30 to 50 hours of optional instruction. These supplementary materials include online resources, additional readings, and interactive exercises.

This course is eligible for ELCAS funding.    
To enrol onto the level 4 course, you must be at least 18 and have a full secondary education.

Managing business operations

The purpose of this module is to familiarize students with the essential elements of all businesses and the ways in which they function both internally and in the larger business environment. Students will acquire knowledge and comprehension of essential business operations and how crucial they are to an organization’s success.

Business environment

The purpose of this module is to increase the learner’s understanding of the business environment and how it affects organizations. This include exterior effects as well as elements that mold the interior environment. With this understanding, students will be able to create strategies for handling change.

Personal effectiveness

This program looks at the importance of time management and the abilities of various learning philosophies. It explores the abilities that managers must acquire in order to make decisions and handle problems. It also talks about the subject of managing stress.

The entrepreneurial manager

This module aims to identify competing perspectives on the nature of entrepreneurial management as both a function and a process supporting the process of organisational change and development.

Business planning and goal setting

This module aims to identify mechanisms for the setting of organisational goals and their achievement as part of the process of business planning.

The manager’s toolkit

This module lists some of the most practical tools for management and discusses their various applications. It attempts to give enough knowledge so that each tool’s guiding principles can be comprehended and used confidently. The module’s objectives are to assist students with analyzing internal organizational conditions, coming up with solutions for organizational issues, assessing an organization’s place in its industry and operational environment, and creating the components of a winning organizational strategy.

Managing and using finance

This module aims to provide an outline of the use and management of finance within an organisation. This includes an introduction to accounting and financial terminology. Learners are also introduced to the basics of financial reporting.

Managing and using marketing

Developing marketing expertise as a crucial management tool is the goal of this subject. This entails being aware of the function of both internal and external marketing, as well as the marketing planning process. With this understanding, students will be able to comprehend the importance of marketing initiatives to a company.

Psychology of entrepreneurship

This module aims to introduce the fundamental principles of the science of psychology, relating them to the entrepreneurial perspective of business management.

Innovation and creativity

This module describes the role of innovation and creativity for organisations. It considers models used to help understand and recognise their importance, as well as techniques to facilitate their use as part of strategic development.

Assignments

The level 4 diploma in entrepreneurship has 10 modules and 10 written assignments . The assignments are approximately 2,000-3,000 words each. Students are provided support on the modules and assignments via the ‘Tutor’ section of the learning platform.
