About our Course
The Level 4 Health and Social Care course, totaling 120 credits, aims to expedite students to the final year of a relevant undergraduate degree in health and social care. This degree can be completed either remotely or on campus at a UK university.
The Level 4 modules and assignments in this course align with the first year of a university degree program. It consists of six modules and assignments, totaling 120 credits. Completing these Level 4 modules alone allows students to earn 120 credits and qualify for exemption from the first year of a university degree program.
Each Level 4 module includes approximately 40 hours of guided instruction, along with an additional 30 to 50 hours of optional study materials. These resources encompass suggested readings, tasks, and online sources to support the learning process effectively.
This course is eligible for ELCAS funding.
To enrol onto the level 4 course, you must be at least 18 and have a full secondary education

Academic study skills
This module’s objective is to give students the knowledge and abilities they need to succeed in higher education. By doing this, students will be able to develop the critical and reflective thinking abilities needed to reach their full learning potential.
Communicating in health and social care
This module’s goal is to increase the learner’s understanding of the many communication styles that are employed in social and health care contexts as well as the significance of these styles for efficient service delivery.
An introduction to healthcare policy
This program aims to raise learners’ awareness of various effects on healthcare and how those influences affect policy creation. Examining healthcare policy evaluation will enable students to investigate the most important modern concerns facing policymakers, providers, and recipients of assistance.
Reflective practice
The purpose of this module is to familiarize the learner with reflective practice in its various forms. In the fields of health and social care, reflections on and in practice are crucial ideas that support the notion of self-development that connects theory and practice.
Managing people in health and social care
This module’s goal is to give students an understanding of the procedures related to hiring, managing, and training employees in the health and social care industries. In this subject, students will look into the procedures for managing people in the health and social care industries as well as how to help an organization undergo change.
Sociology: concepts in health and ill health
This module aims to give students a knowledge of sociological conceptions of health and illness and how they relate to the delivery of care in the health and social care sectors. It will make it possible for students to comprehend the nature of modern society and how it affects how people perceive health and illness. Students will investigate the effects of societal structures on health and well-being, including those related to age, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic class, family, and households.
